City Ocean

I like to take walks at three in the morning. As you can assume and imagine, the streets are empty and it’s then that I feel most relaxed. The streets, roads, and avenues combined are what I would imagine an ocean in the middle of a city to be. The casual car that passes me by is one wave of a thousand; you can hear but not see the other waves. Anyone you see on your travels is obviously trying to get back to land or some safe house, or is lost, or is trying to find something. We are all trying to find something, the thing is what is that something. I don’t know what I am looking for. I’m hoping that I will find it in the ocean, the real ocean; it’s a body of water bigger than myself.

So here we are, and what was just a feeling has become something so much more, that the feeling now is blurred and misconstrued. People often say, I wish life was simple, see if that was the case then what would be the point. I am very grateful for everything that happens to me, good or bad, reassures me I am still alive, always leave something undone that way you have something to strive for. Granted something make you feel more alive than others, who’s to say what they are.
